For the first time in many years, Coast Guard retirees and veterans have been formally invited to join our active duty counterparts for the USCG AIRSTA Coast Guard Day picnic festivities at Salt Creek Recreation Area west of Port Angeles.
Date: Friday 7 August, Time: 1000- midafternoon.
No money is required from us to attend.
The only ask is to bring your best dessert for the dessert competition after the BBQ. I presume some of us have culinary skills after so many years of practice 
IN ORDER FOR THE AIRSTA TO PROPERLY PLAN FOR THE EVENT, THEY HAVE REQUESTED A HEAD COUNT FOR HOW MANY OF US WILL ATTEND. Therefore, please rsvp to me NLT noon on Friday 31 July so I can give a count to the AIRSTA coordinator.
