SUBJ: ADVANCE PREPARATIONS FOR UPCOMING LIMITED AVAILABILITY TO
DIRECT ACCESS
1. This ALCOAST announces necessary preparations in advance of the
scheduled period of no availability to Direct Access. This is
required to support implementation of the PeopleTools 8.62
development and runtime environment.
2. At 1800 EST, Friday, May 1, 2026, Direct Access will become
inaccessible to all users when initial actions associated with the
PeopleTools 8.62 framework upgrade to the production environment
commence. Direct Access will be reactivated at 0600 EST, Tuesday,
May 5, 2026. This downtime is necessary to provide system
administrators sufficient time to perform the upgrade and ensure
a stable transition.
3. No availability to Direct Access impacts all active duty,
reservists, retirees, annuitants, and civilian supervisors of
military members. During this timeframe, access to self-service
in Direct Access for all users will be unavailable. This means no
login access, including no ability to submit absence requests, no
processing of pay or separation transactions and no processing of
orders to include Reserve IDT, ADT, etc.
4. Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers-in-Charge and
Command Senior Enlisted Leaders should advise all members of the
need to complete any required work prior to 1800 EST,
Friday May 01, 2026.
