Personnel interested in entering the baking contest should send an email request to the Coast Guard’s Northwest District Regional MWR Director, Mr. Art Graddy, at james.a.graddy@uscg.mil and the subject line should read “CG Day Picnic Baking Contest Entry”. The text of the e-mail should state the item being entered, the name of the participant, and a good contact cell phone number. Awards will be presented for the top three “great-tasting goodies” immediately following the competition, so if you or someone coming to the picnic with you has a dessert baking inclination, this is an opportunity to show off those skills. Desserts left over from the contest will be served to the picnic attendees.
