**The Latest on PPC’s Direct Access:

1. Passwords will expire every 35 days.
2. Despite what this says, retirees have been getting in while using the Safari browser.

If you have not recently logged into your Direct Access account, you will need a password reset to obtain your 1099-R form. Below is the instructions and formula for you to log you into your account. To avoid future interruptions with accessing your account, please ensure you update your information once logged in.
Click on following link, or cut/paste into your web browser. https://hcm.direct-access.uscg.mil/
This will need to be accessed on a laptop or desktop as there is no mobile version of Direct Access.
You will need to use either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browsers as Direct Access is not compatible with Safari and Firefox.
Once the login page comes up enter your User ID which is your Employee ID Number (EMPLID).
This number can be found on your pay slip (Statement of Monthly Income) or your 1099R. If you are unable to locate this, you will need to contact PPC by phone directly at the phone number listed below.
3. Enter your temporary password: (DELETED)
When prompted, you must update your security questions and temporary password.
PLEASE NOTE:
Your new password will need to be 15 characters long and must contain at least one number, one upper case alpha character, one lower case alpha character, and one special character.
Passwords will expire every 35 days.
Once you have logged in, please ensure that you have all of your contact information updated including your phone, address and preferred primary email address.
The primary email address selected will be the email address that the forgot password link will be sent to in the future.
In order to use the self-service password reset function:
You must have your internet browser settings set to allow pop-up boxes. See user guide: da system requirements.pdf (uscg.mil)
You must have an email set as primary in Direct Access.
If the password is not reset within 89 days of expiration of your last password reset, your account will lock and you will be required to contact PPC for assistance.
